Well, this past Monday marks 2 full weeks on Phase 2 w/ extra milk for a nursing mom. I'm really ticked off because I haven't cheated AT ALL and the weight is just NOT coming off! My clothes feel so much looser and I know that I'm feeling healthier and losing inches from somewhere, but it really is discouraging when I weigh myself and notice NO CHANGE. :( I even gained 2 pounds making my total weight loss a little over 2 pounds.

I'm just not weighing myself anymore for 2 weeks and it better change by then! :(

Chicken and veggies are great and all, but it would really be nice to actually lose a few pounds!!!!

Ok, I feel better now.

I feel your pain - because I'm a very slow loser. Like you, I gained the first couple of weeks on Phase II, and lost little compared to others in Phase I. I've been doing SBD since February, and have lost only 11.5 pounds. I attribute this to the fact that I'd been doing Atkins and already lost over 45 pounds before starting SBD, so I didn't get the big jump in the beginning.

Still, even with a very slow rate of loss, I'm sticking with this for the long haul, because I don't find it difficult. If I switch to counting points on WW or go back to Atkins, it's not a plan I can live with for the rest of my life. I believe I can do SBD for the rest of my life, so even if it takes me another 4-5 years to get to my ultimate goal, I don't feel like I'm dieting - just making better choices, and even consciously making poor choices once in a while.

Don't get discouraged this early, because I imagine you'll start to see a steady loss once your body adjusts to phase II, but even if it's a slow loss - a loss is always better than a gain!
