Big change in sleep patterns...

I don't know if this has anything to do with South Beach, but that's all I can think of to attribute it to because I never used to be like this. The past couple of weeks, since school has started, I've been falling asleep around 11:00 pm and then I wake up naturally at 4:30 or 5:00. This morning, it was 4:00 and I couldn't go back to sleep. Right now, it's 5:06 and I don't have to leave my house for another hour or so. Since I'm not getting much sleep, I get exhausted in the afternoon but still don't sleep much the next night. I'm confused. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? Does my body not need as much sleep since I'm eating so much more healthfully? It's not really a problem, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this experience, or anything similar.
TIA,
Cassie

Hi Cassie,

I'm not sure what's causing you to wake up so early.

Maggie-

Thanks for your response! I doubted that it had anything to do with South Beach, but I figured I'd ask just in case anyone else had had the same experience. I think it's probably just excitement for the next day. That sounds silly, but I am LOVING school and I always look forward to waking up the next morning. I have early morning rehearsal for a vocal jazz choir that I'm in at 6:30 am, and the rehearsals are so much fun that I always have something to look forward to. So it's most likely just my excitement for the next day to come! I am so lucky to have a life great enough that I can't wait to wake up the next day for some more!!!

Hi there!
First time here and very glad to find someone with the same problem,I started my own version of LCD one week ago, and yesterday found your bord, glad I did. I am following your program now, but the problem with the sleeping is the same as yours, and I know for sure that is do to my diet, not a big problem, in a way a am glad that is not just me, hope this will change soon.
I have a question, I am not very hungry at lunch time, and what I eat is almonds and sugar free jello, or plain yogurt and strawberies, is this wrong? I need some advice. Well good luck and keep lossing. Maru
