Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know that I met with my trainer today and we've decided that I try something new, dietwise, for a little while to see if I can get rid of these last stubborn 4-5 lbs. It's going to be super-healthy and probably more challenging than the SBD, but I really want to just try and see if it works. If not, I'll be back before you know it! It's taken me almost 7 months to lose 11 lbs. and I am up for a new outlook if it can kick my metabolism into gear faster and I can, once and for all, drop these few lbs.

Once I get to goal, I'll be back on board, P3-style! I can't wait! I know this is THE way to eat, long-term.

Thank you all for all your advice and support over the past several months. I am so grateful for this board and for all of you!

Hi Kim,

I'm very interested to know what type of eating plan your trainer suggested.

Kim,

I'm stuck trying to lose the last 3-5 pounds. Can you let us know what your trainer is recommending to help you get thru your stall? Maybe it's something that some of us can benefit from. Thanks!

Nancy

Hey Girls,

Thanks for your support. The new gig is called "recycling". Basically, it's a 4 day cycle-- the first day is moderate amounts of good carbs (much like P2), the second and third days are less amounts of good carbs (much like P1) and the fourth day is a higher amounts of good carbs (like P2-P3), and then it starts over again. I still eat a lot of healthy foods, but the idea is that I will shake up my metabolism and sort of "shock" my body and lose fat. I'll be eating my weight in grams for protein (120-154 grams a day). It's important to keep protein levels high since I heavily weight train. The idea is that I'll lose fat while maintaining muscle. I'm also supposed to cut out most carbs after my afternoon snack. This will be the hardest part for me. I'll still be doing cardio and weight training 4x/week. We'll see how it goes.

Obviously, this is not how I plan to eat forever so I'm going to be SB-bound again as soon as I drop this last few lbs. And if this new way of eating doesn't work, then I'll be back here ASAP. I'm not going anywhere though-- I love this board and have learned so much so I'm still going to check in a lot.

I appreciate your support and well wishes. I'll keep you posted on how it's going.
