Hello everyone!
I am back to losing weight! My weight was fluctuating throughout two weeks of moving people back to college and a wedding, so I haven't been weighing myself regularly and just letting myself get back into routine. This morning I weighed myself, and am two and a half pounds less than before all the craziness started! So that's great. I think my addition of fiber before each meal has really helped. (its certainly helped keep things moving! Lol!)
Breakfast-mock french toast w/ 1 TB peanut butter, 1 cup v8, 1 serving of wholegrain flax bread
Snack-glass of milk and fudgesicle mashed with a banana
Lunch-eggplant pizza w/ a garden burger maybe?
Snack-nf plain yogurt w/ peaches, splenda, and cinnamon
Dinner-piece of southwestern bake over lettuce
Dinner part two-triscuits with hummus
Dessert-glass of milk

I haven't checked in in a while - busy busy these days. Here's what I have for today:
B: Oatmeal with 1c. FF milk, 2tsp PB, and some raisins
S: none
L: Big salad of romaine, baby spinach, brocolli, red cabbage w/ caesar dressing. Cheese stick.
S: SBD oatmeal cookies
S2: Kashi Granola bar
D: SBD frozen meal (P1 meal)
I have school tonight until 9pm so I have a double snacks in the PM. I've been having the SBD frozen meals on nights that I have school - it helps me stay on track when I get home late and don't want to cook.
After getting back down to my pre-broken arm weight on Friday, I'm now up two pounds. We had some folks in for the weekend and broke ranks! It was fun while it lasted but now I'm back on track.

Today, I've decided, is the day I need to start exercising again. I've been slacking off in this department, and that is probably the reason I haven't lost any weight in 43 days of doing a cheat-free South Beach. Otherwise, why else would I not be losing weight?? (Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated.)
So, I'm going to start an exercise routine consisting of a minimum of 30 minutes of intense cardio a day (this doesn't include all of the walking I do to and from work, and around town), and three days of weight training. Also, on the days when I don't do weight training, I will complete my calisthenics program (crunches, push-ups, leg lifts, arm dips, etc...). What do you guys think?
Thanks for any feedback!!
Cheers,
Stef

Catherine- congrats on your weight loss! That is awesome!
I am going to vent a bit about my feelings, you don't need to read this but I felt like getting it all out...
I am having mixed feelings right now, because I'm thrilled with the way South Beach is working but at the same time I have had two bad South Beach eating days in a row. Last night I had a burrito and an ice cream cone; today I had a Starbucks coffe frappuccino (with whipped cream, no less!), a Jamba Juice smoothie, and am having pizza for dinner. I would usually be feeling really down on myself about that, but for some reason I'm feeling fine. I went shopping today and I have dropped sizes dramatically! I was wearing a tight size 10 and now I'm fitting into size 6's. I had been wearing about an 11 in Juniors, sometimes even a 13 depending on the brand, and today all the Junior 7's fit. I was thrilled! I think maybe I haven't been eating enough to keep me full and satisfied so I've started getting sick of eating South Beach-style. The thing is, I know that I'm going to be eating this way FOREVER. That is probably why I'm allowing myself these two days of slipping - I feel like I need a few treat meals and can get back on track tomorrow. I won't lose anything this week, I know that, but by Sunday I think I will have undone any damage from this weekend. Honestly, I feel fine about eating these unhealthy meals. I know myself well enough to know that this is what I need to do every once in a while in order to stay on track the rest of the time. Anyway, I've lost 18 pounds and I think that is quite an achievement!
Anyway, I'm not going to post my menu for today since it wasn't SBD friendly. I went on a very challenging hike this morning and I'm hoping that even though I'm not being good with my eating, I burned enough calories to not have it affect me all that badly.
I'll be back on track tomorrow and will post my PERFECT SOUTH BEACH menu then :).

Hey Cassie!
I would not sweat it. I think a slip up here and there is fine. I even plan them sometimes and never feel too bad about it. I went on an almost 2-week spree of being so NOT SB (lots of family and friends in town over those 2 weeks) and I was fine with it. I actually didn't gain any weight (or lose any), but I was really ready to get back on track after being so off track. Sometimes it's just what we need to do. You're doing great, this is real life, and that's just how it is. Keep up the great work!!!
