Hello ladies!  This was my meal for yesterday.  Just wanted to make sure I have the right balance of grains and protein, etc.  All of this, to me, is so overwhelming...It seems like it should be simple but I'm struggling! LOL..so, hopefully ya'll can help me understand better.  Here goes:

Breakfast:  1 cup Uncle Sam cereal, banana, 3 slices candian bacon, coffee

Snack: Wafa cracker w/ Smuckers PB, V8

Lunch:  South Beach Turkey Meal

Snack:  Revitalize shake w/ water and 1 cup of milk...(I think I can have 3 servigs of milk now)

Dinner:  Grilled chicken w/ veggies

Desert:  FF fudgesicle

edited to add:  I had two Viactiv, one calcium and one mulitvitamin...they don't casue me cravigns but if I have them I need to not have my dessert, right?

okay, so any additions/deletions, suggestions, etc are very welcomed!  Thanks guys!

Hi Kathrine,

Since you're just starting out in phase 2 I think you should be careful about how many grain servings you add in on the first few days.

Kathrine,

I didn't see a lot of veggies noted. The V8 counts as 1/2 cup. Did you have 4 cups of veggies with dinner? I don't imagine the veggie content in the Turkey meal was very high. I've never had one, but people here have mentioned that the meals lack in the veggie area.

Also, if you're just moving into P2, be careful how many and how fast you add the starches back in. I find that for myself, I have to really be diligent about this area or my whole set of eating habits starts to nose-dive. I know we're all different, so hopefully this isn't an issue for you. Just wanted to put out a caution flag.

I love spinach as my salad greens, too.
