Another approved breakfast bar

We have another bar we can add to our approved list - Atkins Morning Start breakfast bar, Triple Berry flavor.  It's great to have some choices to add when we need those "emergency" snacks for on the go!

There are other flavors of Morning Start bars, but they're very high in fat, including saturated fat.  I'm questioning that with the online nutritionists, will let you know.

Here are the details:

Dear Nutritionists,

I just read a recent answer about Atkins Morning Start breakfast bars, being fine as a choice on Phases 2 & 3 as a personal choice.

I wanted to see what the nutritional panel was like and checked it out. All of the varieties (except one, listed below) have 4-5 grams of SATURATED fat and 7-9 grams of total fat. This seems very high for South Beach, especially the saturated fat!

The only variety that seemed like a good choice (to me) is the Triple Berry flavor. It has 5 grams total fat and only 1 gram of saturated fat. Here is the nutritional info for the Triple Berry bar: http://www.alacarb.com/product-detail.php?SKU=3748030663

Are the high fat/saturated fat bars really approved for South Beach?

Thank you in advance,
Maggie

Thank You Maggie, but no thanks! I have had those before and thought they were horrible. They are expensive and so not worth the money. I threw them in the garbage. But that is just my own opinion, others may love them.
