Success starting with Phase 2??

Hello!
I am trying to lose about 15 pregnancy pounds that won't budge. My dd is 6 months old and is just starting solids, but still nursing a lot. So I'm curious if any other moms out there had success starting with Phase 2?
Also, I'd like to start asap, but I find myseld making lots of excuses, with upcoming holdiday parties. Any thoughts for handling the holidays?
Many thanks!!!!

Hello!
I also have a dd who will be 6 months on the 13th of this month! When's your dd's birthday? I started P2 of sbd when I was about a month or two pp and I am now down below my prepregnancy weight(148, prepregnancy was 150). I know nursing(and pumping) had a lot to do with losing so fast but I know without sbd I wouldn't have done it that fast if at all. My suggestion is to EAT WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY! I was so hungry while nursing. I would have to eat about every 2 hours. I would feel bad about wanting to eat so much but I knew I needed it because I was still losing weight. Be sure to get at least 3 grain servings and 2-3 fruit servings in as well as 4-5 cups of dairy (I think that's what's recommended for nursing moms, cl's, correct me if I'm wrong). This is such a great way to get rid of pregnancy pounds and to get great nutrition for you and your baby!
Hope it goes well! Keep us posted! If you have any more questions please let us know!

Hi
Thanks for the tips! My dd was 6 months on Dec 4th. I too lost a lot of weight in the beginning with nursing...but seem to have stalled lately. With my first daughter I lost all the weight by 4 months, so I'm a little frustrated to be a 6 months and still have 10 lbs to go!
Thanks again!
No problem! I'm sure you will see those last few pounds come off before you know it. This program is a great way of eating even if you don't have any weight to lose. I'm sure you will enjoy all the added benifits besides wieghtloss (increased engery, mental alertness exc.) With 2 kids I'm sure you need all the engery you can get! Let us know how it goes!
