Ok so I will not type all the stuff i ate today and I use the word STUFF specifially..lol But I did enjoy myself and now i feel bad. So I am refreshed and ready to be fully on track tomorrow morning. Ya know eating junk didnt satisfy me like it used to, it didnt feel as good which feels really good to me now knowing I am curing myself. BUt thank god Christmas is over, and the holidays too, that way I can concentrate on my eating and getting healthy. Take care everyone, hope you had a great holiday weekend. Amy

Here's to a fresh post-Christmas start!
I also "enjoyed" Christmas.

My Before and After Pictures
Well, I swore I wouldn't go overboard - right up til yesterday I had no problem "resisting" all the holiday stuff. And for most of the day yesterday I did great - we had 10 people over and I was doing the cooking. I had a normal breakfast, then veggies and hummus for appetizers, our main meal was turkey breast, green beans and sweet potatoes (regular stuffing and white mashed potatoes for everyone else - didn't even want any of those) Desert was a SBD-friendly cheesecake for some of us, regular ginerbread cookies for everyone else. Then after everyone left, dh and decided to have some wine - big mistake. But there were all these open/half drunk bottles everywhere, it made sense that we should just "finish some of it off". At some point I decided though that I HAD to taste the homemade ravioli's my dad brought with him to go with the wine. He'd been working on duplicating my great-grandma's recipe. He finally got it - they tasted exactly like the ones we had all the time when I was a kid. My dad flew some down with him (lost the ravioli bag in the airport and ended up having to deal with security to get it back) I resisted them at dinner, but after - oh, 5 glasses of wine I really couldn't anymore. So dh and I split the leftovers. They were sooooooooo good. I haven't tasted anything that good in years, brought back a lot of childhood memories. I was strong this morning though and tossed the big bag of frozen ones they left in my freezer.
So all in all - WAY too much wine and a bowl of spinach/ricotta raviolis. Could have been worse I guess.

Well, you all aren't alone LOL! I went down to my Dad's on Thursday noon. I had said *I* would prepare Thursday's dinner. I made chicken vegetable stew. Everyone LOVED it. I had two pieces of my dad's cornbread. I never make it at home so I feel it is ok to have it there. Especially when my meal is 90% vegetables. I didn't have any dessert that day.
Friday I got up and had yogurt for breakfast with a v8 (limited options since I'm at their house). I went for an hour long walk down on the farm and spent 10 minute of it doing a steep hill up and down. I got back to the house and they had had breakfast (at almost noon) without me. There was some leftover bacon so I had two slices of real bacon.
A bit later more yogurt. Dinner that night was pinto (actually anasazi, our favorites) beans with brown rice and homemade fresh tomato/onion/pepper salsa. Then I had dessert. Big mistake. We were waiting on my sis's family to arrive till 10:20. I had ANOTHER bowl LOL! It was a cream cheese fruit salad. BAD!! I also ate several cookies during the long wait. Then we left to go home at 11:30 and drove in the middle of the night home YUCK!
Saturday I ate shrimp and guacamole with veggies. eeeeewww bad day
Sunday I ate really light. *sigh* then last night I ate a light blue cheese salad (about a 5 cup salad with all kinds of baby greens LOL!) I also walked for 90 minutes on the treadmill.
I'm ready to get back on track!! Feeling really sluggish today.
