Today is my kids first day back at school after winter break! They are both excited to get back and see their friends again. Of course they will only be going back for about 2.5 weeks then we'll be moving.

Today's plan is packing, packing, packing. Some touch-up painting too.

Breakfast: Kashi Go Lean, milk, turkey bacon
Snack: Mango/yogurt smoothie
lunch: turkey sandwhich on ww pita and 3 bean salad
snack: apple w/peanut butter
dinner: leftover chicken, eggplant and ww tortelli w/ ricotta
desert: ff/sf pudding

B: Shreaded Spoonfuls cereal w/milk
S: carrots w/ laughing cow cheese and some cherries
L: a garden burger on 1 slice of ww bread topped with salad veggies
S: a banana and some wasabi almonds (my newest favorite snack!)
D: not sure yet. Maybe some meatloaf I have in the freezer and a salad
S: SBD hot cocoa

Does anyone know if Gardenburgers are counted as a starch serving? There is some brown rice and rolled oats but I didn't know if it counted as a WHOLE starch serving or not. TIA!

Hi Nili,

Gargenburgers fall under the 'Protein' foods on South Beach Diet. The guidelines are the product does not have more than 6 grams of fat in a 2 oz (60 gram) serving.

Since I'm here I'll post my day so far:

Michael Ann,

I know you're not really trying to lose anymore so I was wondering if your eating is still in a weightloss phase?

Hi Allison! Basically the menus that I have or will post here is exactly how I ate during my weight loss phase. After hitting my goal I did settle into more of a phase 3 mentality (less strict on portions - some days having 4 grains or 150 sweet treat calories, things like that) Even doing that, I still continued to lose more weight and got 14 lbs below my goal. I haven't lost anything more though in about 3 weeks, but I think that is because my body is now at a really good, healthy weight.

But for the next couple weeks I wanted to go back to a more "strict" phase 2. We are moving in a few weeks and eating will get tough (a 4 day drive, a month in a hotel, etc.) So I want to really buckle down and get into the best possible shape I can before I move so I have less damage control to do after!

So basically the menus I will be eating and posting the next few weeks will be a full phase 2 (protein with each meal, 2-3 servings dairy, 3 grains, 3 fruits, 4.5 cups veggies, 75-100 cal sweet treats) just like I ate while I was losing!
