Let's try out the SB once again

It is so cliché to start a diet on a Monday, so I want to see how a Wednesday will treat me. I have done the South Beach diet before, but never could make it a lifestyle. I know to fully make this diet completely work, I would have to do that. But by being a college student I rarely have time to fully prepare meals, so I have been using the South Beach diet more as a guide in what the majority of my food choices are.
As everyone knows college students tend to gain weight, which I have defintely done since high school, probably 20 pounds and it is not easy getting it off. I am fairly active (Cardio for about an hour/30 minutes weight traning- 5 days a week) but the scale rarely ever moves. So I am going back on SB Phase 1 for a week then Phase 2 for a week and then back to my modified Phase 3, to show me some results to keep me motivated and in the gym. I've hit a plateau and want to feel comfortable and good about my appearance again, so I would really appreciate some support on my way to loose about 15 pounds. Thanks and good luck to you all on your dieting journeys.

Hi there, and thanks everyone for your responses. In your response to why I was going to stay on phase 2 for only 1 week, is that I am the type of person that if i cheat a little I feel like i just blew it for the day and end up screwing up even worse, with the attitude that "I will just start tomorrow." So for me, if i know I am on phase three it gives me personally some leniency that if i cheat occassionaly I wont spiral away to just ditching this diet all together. I'm sure that still doesnt make too much sense, but I guess it's my way of trying not to sabatoge myself. I may try to stay on phase 2 for a little longer then usual and see how it treats me and how much energy I have for working out. Take care

Well, if that works for you....

But, remember that a treat here and there on phase 2 is okay and doesn't mean you blew the whole thing.
