Good morning all!!!
Today I am starting phase 2. I have lost about 10 pounds on phase 1, but I think my scale is messed up ( how can you gain a pound by walking into the kitchen and back to the scale? ) What matters is I am feeling the loss in my clothes and I have better energy. If any one can give me some good tips about transition I would appreciate it. I have started my moring with some steel cut oats with a splash of FF half and half and splenda. Just proceeding with caution and would love some advice!!

Best wishes to all,
Samantha

Hey neighbor!! Congratulations on your GREAT success in Phase 1!! I'm sure the CL's will have LOTS of great tips for moving on -- I'll only share a couple that have been important and beneficial for me. Take the transition slowly (1 fruit/1 grain per day for the first week) and pay attention to how your body reacts to everything new that you're adding. If you're not keeping a food journal already, you should start one. Without one, it's easy to forget what you ate the day before that might be making you feel a certain way. Also, don't forget your "carb-competitors" -- those are important. Here's an old thread where Maggie gives a LOT of really good info on those...

Carb Competitors - how do they work? Why is slowing digestion important to losing weight? http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-fbsouthbeach/?msg=14117.1

Best of luck to you!
