Why is Phase 2 considered the "weight loss" phase?
Also, is Phase 2 basically Phase 1 but integrating between 1 to 3 servings each of whole grain and fruit?
Sorry for the newbie questions - I will be moving into Phase 2 in 4 days. :)

Phase 1 is only designed to last for two weeks. At the end of this time it is very important to move forward. As you know fruit and healthy starches are an important part of balanced eating.
The amount of weight loss in phase 1 should not be your gauge for moving on. Keep in mind phase 2 is a long-term weight loss phase. This is really the best place to work on taking the weight off and keeping it off. Phase 1 is to banish your cravings, give you the jump-start to stay motivated and stick with the plan.
