Ok, I'm on day 2 of phase 2 and I am having really bad cravings. I only added one grain and one fruit each day for the last two days. Could it be the dessert tray that has been at my work the last two days? I've resisted it, but it has been hard. In phase 1, I did not have very many cravings, so I'm not sure where they are coming from.

Did you add a wheat grain? I find eating wheat gives me cravings.

I think the culprit is the bananas.

Hi Amy,

Can you define what you mean by cravings a bit more?

Could be a craving or it could be a dip in your blood sugar.

What did you eat today so far, including lunch?

Are you having your afternoon snack too long after your lunch. I usually try and space my meals and snacks approx 3 hours apart. I have found this keeps my blood sugar in check. Maybe try and add some extra protein to your lunch like a boiled egg...that may keep you satisfied longer. I have the same problem with the "no no" food sitting out at work. Today its my favorite girl scout cookies (thin mints and tagalongs) and bagels with cream cheese...lord help me. I have found when these things are sitting out my mind will trick me into thinking Im hungry and I will just have one...which will go to two then three. Have you been drinking lots of water? I find that sometimes when I think I am hungry or craving something I will drink a big glass of water and it will take care of it..maybe try that?

Thanks for the ideas. I think today I will try an egg in my salad or some more protein. I will also try drinking water when the desserts look good :). I think you are right about tricking myself into thinking I am hungary, that could be it.

Thanks again for the advice

Amy :)
