Okay, so I finally got below 200 not too long ago, but now the scale's stuck...I've been stuck at 198 for a while now and I don't know what gives...Here's my menu, and I work out pretty much every day.

Wednesday:

B: ¾ cup Kashi Go-Lean

     1 Cup Skim milk

S: 5 Almonds, 1 cup of carrots, LC cheese

L: Tofu Stir-fry: 2 cups stir-fry veggies, 1 cup tofu, 1 cup brown rice

S: 2 cups blueberries, 1 cup milk

Pre-workout Snack: 1 cup yogurt, 1 TB Natural PB

Workout: Ran/Walked 2 miles, rode bike hard for 20 min.

D: Garden Meatloaf (97% Lean Beef) w/ 1.5 cups grilled green beans

Thursday:

B: ¼ cup Hodgson Mill Cracked Wheat Cereal w/cinnamon and Splenda

     1 cup V8

Tad of milk to add to cereal

S: 2 cups Boiled Broccoli

L: Chili made with ground turkey, lots of squash, and lots of tomatoes

S: Starbuck’s Venti Skim Latte w/SF Hazelnut Syrup

2 cups Blueberries in yogurt and milk with Vanilla and Splenda

Pre-workout Snack: 1 cup yogurt with 1 Tbs. Natural PB

Workout: Ran/Walked 2 miles, Full weight training circuit with trainer (HARD!)

D: 2 Salmon Patties with 1 cup Brown rice and 1 cup of Broccoli

I also drink at least 60 oz. of water a day, usually more…

Hang in there Allison! If you're working out that much, then you're surely getting leaner... replacing that fat with muscle (heavier). Stay the course, girlfriend -- keep it up, that scale HAS to move eventually!!

Cathy, could she maybe cut back on fruit and grains a bit?

¾ cup Kashi Go-Lean (1 serving)
1 cup brown rice (2 servings)
2 cups blueberries (2+ servings)

I may find myself in this situation some day so would be helpful to know if cutting back actually helps...

The reason I don't is that I'm in full P2 now and was under the impression that we should all be working up to 3 fruits and 3 grains a day...If that's not correct I'll definitely cut back...

Allison is choosing to eat her grains or fruit servings all at one time instead of splitting them up.

so the South Beach diet does not recommend cutting back on grains or fruit to get through a stall like this? I read on the plateau link at http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-fbsouthbeach/?msg=13465.1 that decreasing portions could be helpful. I'm confused...

Hi Mags,

No, we wouldn't cut back on our grain or fruit servings.
