Phase 2 Day 11 Update

Well, I feel better in terms of eating. I was a big time sweet and bread eater, now I don't really get cravings (never happened in my life!) and I truly enjoy all the healthy food. I started working out regularly again and that feels really great. But in terms of losing weight, still nothing. In the last 25 days of South Beach, I have lost 0 pounds. If you remember, I was 143 and trying to reach 135. The funny thing is that working out made made me lower my goal weight to 130, which is technically unreasonable since I'm not really seeing any movement on the scale...At this point, yes I want to keep eating right and of course working out is fulfulling in many ways, it's just a bummer that I'm not losing weight. Unfortunately, the only times I see myself losing is when I significantly reduce the amount and frequency of eating throughout the day, or when I workout like crazy (which is hard because then I get really hungry). Since I'm almost done with Phase 2 (technically), I guess I'll just repeat it...

Hi,

I'm a little confused.

Yes I know phase 2 is until you reached your goal weight. I meant in terms of following the food plan, because I use the exact menus in the book. My fault not to specify I was referring to the meal plans. My clothes fit only slightly better.

Are you adding dairy to those phase 2 meal plans in the book?

Yes, I do get my dairy in. I don't know think at all it's what I'm eating; I think it's how much. I think the meal plans are big compared to what I'm used to eating. In that sense it's counter-productive for me. So hopefully with a slight reduction and more working out I might get somewhere. I guess that's just how my body feels right now.

Hopefully, you've figured it out.
