I'm sorry, but it is an instant oatmeal and is not recommended on South Beach.

To add to that question, how much is considered a serving? I think the recommended amount for lowering cholesterol on the canister is 1 1/4C, and that seems like a lot (I couldn't finish it all the first day, and just changed over to a slice of WW bread with my eggs and V8 in the monring). I'd like to start incorporating oatmeal again. Also, can you add your fruit for the day in it, or should you wait (I'm only in my second week of P2).

Thanks again!

Hi Andrea,

1/2 cup dry oatmeal is a serving.

Okay, 1/2 C is MUCH better. LOL I was thinking a little bit of Splenda and some mangoes or some PB.

Thanks again, Cathy!
