Sugar Free/Fat FreeYogurt brand?

Hi ya'll -- sorry for asking a question that's probably been asked a billion times before... but when I use the little board-search engine for "yogurt", I get WAAAAYY too many messages to sift through...

I can't find a sugar-free/fat-free plain yogurt ANYWHERE! I think maybe it was Cathy who once posted a little picture of the brand she buys -- and I bought "it" last week. Then when I got home I realized that I actually bought the "all natural plain" yogurt by Dannon. What a waste -- I was in such a hurry that I grabbed it because I thought I recognized the little design on the label from the picture, and didn't stop to read the nutrition info first.

Any help is appreciated!!
:-)

Hi,

I found a non-fat plain yogurt called FAGE (0% Total - Authentic Greek Yogurt). Per cup it has 120 calories, 0 fat, 9g Carbs, 9g sugar. The ingredients indicate no added sugar. Is this OK to use? Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks

I haven't heard of it before, but you describe a very healthy choice.

I enjoy the Fat Free Plain Yoplait yogurt. I add some Splenda and fresh berries like raspberries or blueberries to it.

I've started making my own yogurt recently and I'm loving it! Fresh yogurt is the best. It's also a lot cheaper. If anyone is interisted in learning how just reply back and I'll type up how to do it!

I posted my yogurt making method in the recipe section. Let me know if you need any more help. You'll probably have to work with it until you get down a system. If something comes out wrong let me know and I'll try to help you figure out why. Enjoy!

Argh! The yogurt dilemma continues....

I cannot find yogurt which is both nonfat *and* sugar free. My best options are: plain low fat, lowfat vanilla w/Splenda (Dannon Lite & Fit), or nonfat fruit flavor w/ Splenda. Neither of the latter 2 have sugars in addition to the splenda.

Would you try to pick the lowest fat or the lowest sugar content?

You will never, ever find a sugar-free yogurt.

No, I don't mean lactose, I mean *added* sugar. I'm trying to buy unsweetened. There are none available that have both no fat and no added sugar/glucose/dextrose/cane juice/corn syrup.

My options are: unsweetened (no sugar added) plain or flavored nonfat with varying levels of sugar and/or splenda.

I just hit the Dannon website and see that the plain I can buy isn't low fat as I originally posted. Per cup it has 8g of fat and 5g (zoinks!) of saturated fat. The sat fat is why I didn't buy it. And unless my math is totally off, the fruit flavored nonfats actually have fewer total grams of sugar than the plain FF Dannon (adjusted for serving sizes). But they also have so many other chemicals, I particularly don't want to eat them.

This is why I really haven't eaten yogurt in a few years! LOL! Reading all the posts on the board, I kind of got a craving for it, but I guess I should it give up. Crazy!
