No change in the weight...

Hi,

I started SBD 1 months ago. Started at weight - 136 and now I am 127.
I have been 127 for 2 weeks now. I am still Phase 2 but my weight is not changing. The same with my boyfriend. He lost 10 lb and he is not losing anymore.
What should we do? We both noticed that we have cravings for bread, chocolate etc... Should we go to Phase 1 again? We are so close to our goals... 3-4 lb more...

Thanks,
Dani

Hi Dani,

Stalls or plateaus are common on SBD. Ways to get over it are stepping up or changing your exercise program, make sure you are eating ENOUGH, check your serving sizes of nuts and cheeses, and add carb competitors.

If you are having cravings for bread and chocolate on phase 2, there no reason to deprive yourself!! There are lots of breads on our list. Here it is for you:

Did you know you can have dark chocolate on phase 2? Some other "chocolate-y" ideas are:

  • SBD hot cocoa

  • chocolate smoothies

  • SBD brownies

  • strawberries dipped in melted dark chocolate

  • SBD peanut butter cup

And, if that's not enough chocolate, here is a SBD friendly chocolate cheesecake recipe:

Chocolate Cheesecake

FILLING
1 lb. (16 oz.) low-fat farmers cheese or low-fat cottage cheese
4 oz. light cream cheese
3 eggs
1/2-2/3 cup Splenda
1/3 cup cocoa powder (no sugar added)
1/2-1 tsp vanilla
Pam

TOPPING
1 cup low fat sour cream or yogurt
2 1/2 tbsp. Splenda

Preheat oven to 300º
Combine all ingredients for filling in food processor and process until silky smooth.
Spray 9” spring form pan with Pam.
Pour filling into pan evenly and bake in center of oven for 35 minutes.
In the meantime, process ingredients for topping.
After 35 minutes take out cheesecake and spread topping evenly over cake.
Bake for 5 more minutes.
Turn off oven, open oven door and let cake cool inside the oven.
Refrigerate and serve.
