Am I eating to much?

I was just wondering if I have been eating to much? I go to the gym after work at about 6:30pm and do not eat dinner until after 8pm, so I find I need an extra snack before the gym, is that ok? Also, since I do not eat a sweet treat, I have a smoothie after dinner, is that ok to have that many snacks? I wasn't sure if I should cut back. I posted my menus from this last week. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Meal Plans for last week
Breakfast: kashi go lean cereal, skim milk, with bananas mixed in, 2 pc turkey bacon
Snack: celery with laughing cow light cheese
Lunch: salmon patty, brussel sprouts, side salad
Snack: apple with PB
Before workout snack: kashi go lean bar
Dinner: turkey burger, brussel sprouts
Snack: strawberry smoothie
Exercise: 30 min step class, 1 hr Pi/Yo class
Breakfast: kashi go lean cereal, skim milk, and 2 pcs turkey bacon
Snacks: missed my snack today b/c of work stuff
Lunch: taco junk over lettuce
Snack: apple and peanut butter
Before workout snack: kashi bar and bananna
Dinner: turkey burger, brussel sprouts, brocoli
Snack: ff plain yogurt, strawberries, banana, and kashi go lean cereal
Exercise: 30 min boot camp, 15 min ab class
Breakfast: kashi go lean cereal with bananas, strawberries, and skim milk
Snack: celery with laughing cow light cheese
Lunch: chefs salad with turkey and tomatoes, cottage cheese
Snack: apple with natural PB
Dinner:veggie burger with salsa, brussl sprouts, broccoli
Snack: ff plain yogurt w/ bananas and strawberries
Exercise: 60 min step class, 15 min abs

Breakfast: south beach cereal, milk
Snack:
Lunch: veggie burger, salad, sweet potatoe, cottage cheese
Snack: ff plain yogurt w/ bananas, strawberries
Dinner: chicken breast, brussel sprouts
Snack: apple w/ nautral PB
Exercise: 45 min elliptical, 40 min strength training
Monday Feb 6, 2006
Breakfast: kashi go lean cereal, bananas, strawberries, and 2 pc turkey bacon
Snack: ff plain yogurt with bananas, and strawberries
Lunch: chili and side salad
Snack: apple and peanut butter
Snack: kashi go lean granola bar
Dinner: veggie burger, brussel sprouts, green beans
Snack: fruit smoothie w/ strawberries and bananas
Exercise: 30 min step class, 30 min ab class, 25 min strength training to fit tv
Tuesday Feb 7
Breakfast: McCans steel cut oatmeal, banana, 2 pc turkey bacon
Snack: ff plain yogurt, banana, strawberry
Lunch: chefs salad w/ turkey and cherry tomatoes, sweet potatoe
Snack: couple grapes, apple w/ natural PB
Snack: kashi bar before the gym
Dinner: turkey burger, brussel sprouts, green beans
Snack: peach smoothie
Exercise: kickboxing 30 min, abs 15 min


Looks like you are right on track!! You're getting plenty of veggies in your day, as well as your dairy servings. It looks like you're not overdoing it on nuts and cheese. It's okay to have a snack when you need it ~ especially with all the working out you are doing.

Thanks Maggie for the info. I think I will start adding a 3rd serving of dairy because I love smoothies and ff plain yogurt. The info on what do eat pre and post workout was very helpful. I love that I learn something new on this WOE almost every day to make it better for me!!!
