Ok guys I have been doing this long enough that I should know whats what but I still have questions.  In phase 2 can you have up to 3 fruits a day and 3 grains/starches or is it a combo of the two for a total of three.  I had a pita at breakfast which I would count as two grains and a banana for a snack, would I be allowed any more grains or fruits today?  I'm losing about a pound a week so I do not want to mess anything up, but on the other hand if I could add more food it my rev up my metabolisim.  As always any advice is appreciated.

In phase 2 you can work up to 3 grains AND 3 fruits per day. I don't know how long you have been in phase 2, but its recommended to start slowly (1 per day, then the next week add another, the next week another, etc.) When I started phase 2 I was nervous to go all the way up to 3 of each, so I stopped at 2 of each. Then I stalled. As soon as I added in more and got up to my 3 fruits AND 3 grains, I started losing again. I steadily lost about 1lb per week from May 2004 until I reached my goal weight in December - the whole time eating 3 fruits and 3 grains per day.

I have been on Phase 2 since mid January and have only been having on avg 2 grains a day and fruit only about twice a week.
