Hi...
I was wondering what milk is best to use...
for recipes and just for SOUTH beach in general?
Skim milk
Fat free?
and what are the differences in the two of them? I am not much of a milk drinker...
Also --Yogurts...
is lit and fit by Dannon okay?
or the low carb one by Dannon okay?

There really is a difference in fat grams with the 1% and 2% milk. I checked and it was 3 grams of fat difference and only 1 or 2 from 2% to whole milk. I'm bad in that I use 2% milk as I already buy whole milk for my toddler and everyone else in the house refuses to drink 1% so I compromise and get 2%, but I really don't drink it much and I get my dairy elsewhere. Hey, I've already changed their eating habits for the better and they have accepted it so I figure as long as the scales go down each week I can live with that.
Yogurt, not a fan so no help there.
Hope that helps,
Jennifer
Skim and fat free milk are the same thing. Skim milk has no fat. I don't know why they don't call skim milk, fat free milk instead, but here in Iowa it's all the same and it is what we use. The only differences in the milks is the fat content, all the vitamins etc. are the same.
The yogurt, the only kind I think that is approved is the fat free or low fat plain yogurt, and then just add your own fruits, sweetners, etc. to it....but I'm sure one of the cl's will be along soon to give you the exacts. I just don't eat yogurt unless I cook with it.
