I had Fiber One for Breakfast which counts as a starch right? and had an apple with PB for afternoon snack...I am fixing grilled fish tonight and would like to fix sweet potato oven fries...Is this too much starch and should I omit the sweet potato? I am on my 3rd day of Phase 2...Thanks...

Thanks Cathy...I'm only going to buy one potato and split them with my husband...Just wanted something different...I've been slacking when it comes to preparing...I really need to try and meal plan...but right now I'm just focusing on next weekend when I have to go out of down for a conference where I'm sure what they serve during the day will not be SBD friendly...I'm sure the breakfast will be your typical white bagels and fruit with juice or coffee then who knows what they will have for lunch...We will be on our own for dinner so this will good...I'm planning on taking some of my NPB and nuts to have on hand...I know if I have one I can't have the other but I don't have a way to keep things cold so I'm worried about getting in my snacks...

Bring some Kashi bars or South Beach bars for snack time.

Some other phase 2 friendly snacks that need no refrigeration are bananas, apples, triscuits or SBD crackers (already in little packages that can fit in a purse), Kashi granola bars or SBD/Kraft cereal bars, spelt pretzels. Also - given a situation of being away from home and where you have no control of food choices - I wouldn't worry too much about having an extra serving of nuts. Its WAY better than getting hungry from no snack and giving in to something worse!
