I was just browsing on the Food for Life website and see there are several product they make...This weekend while at my conference there are a couple of whole food stores listed that sell these products...Is there anything that I need to stay away from or are they pretty much ok? We do not have these products here in my town and I am not familiar with them at all...I'm still learning about label reading the SB way...I am equipted with the threads on bread and label reading ...I just don't know how much time I will have to spend in the store since we are only taking 1 vehicle and I will be with 4 other people...I would just like to take advantage of this opportunity to stock of on some of the things mentioned here and don't want to grab something that will go to waste...Thank you so much for all the help that you guys give!

I just finally went to my Whole Foods (I only get over there every few months) and got some of my absolute favorite bread. It is the Food for Life Bran for Life bread. I also, after reading MichaelAnn's post, got the Ez 4:9 tortillas and the english muffins. For the record, those are the FIRST english muffins I've found that meet the grain guidelines - including the ones listed in the approved list. And BOTH versions of these muffins met the guidelines.
The Bran for Life bread has been one of my favorites for several years. It has a great texture. My absolute favorite thing to do with it is to make those toasted things with tomatoes on top. What are they called?? italian. whatever, I chop fresh basil and tomatoes and drizzle olive oil over it and toss. Then I add a bit of lf feta. I sprinkle this mixture over the bread and toast it in the oven. bruscetta? is that what it is called? Anyways, I pile the veggies on higher than they do at the restaurants so mine is fairly SBD friendly. I've been making this for years but haven't in the last couple of years so I haven't tried it while on SBD. This bread is perfect for it because it toasts so nicely compared to regular wheat breads.
