Lite 85 vs. Dannon Light 'n Fit?

I start phase 2 tomorrow and I am SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!! I absolutely cannot wait to have a flavored yogurt, wasa crisps (2 is one grain serving, right?) and an apple! The grocery store I went to tonight only had 1 container of Blue Bunny Lite 85, but they had a lot of Dannon Light 'n Fit. The only difference I can see is that Lite 85 has modified food starch, and Light 'n Fit has modified corn starch. Is there a difference? Here are the labels next to each other:

Hey cathy,

Have you heard anything about Kroger's brand yogurt Carb Master? I dont know if all the facts are valid (got info from the net) but I think its a 6oz cup with about 80 calories.
Total Fat 1.5 g
Saturated Fat 1 g
Cholesterol 5 mg
Sodium 80 mg
Total Carbohydrates 4 g
Dietary Fiber 1 g
Sugars -
Protein 12 g
The ingredients are: water, milk protein concentrate, whey protein concentrate, cream, modified corn starch, strawberries, salt, natural and artificial flavor, gelatin, tricalcium phosphate, malic acid, pectin, agar, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, red 40, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3, and active cultures with L.Acidophilus and B. bifidum.

What do you think? Its really good! Especially the vanilla! I hope its okay. I'd love to start buying it again.

Hi Danielle,

Low-carb yogurts are not recommended.

Wow - this is big news! I had always chosen Blue Bunny Lite 85 over Dannon because the Dannon had high fructose corn syrup and Blue Bunny was only sweetened with Spelnda. But Blue Bunny is only available at Walmart and has a limited flavor selection.
Now I can't wait to go the store and check the label on the Dannon!

I know!!! And the Dannon has 20 less calories, too! I was so thrilled to see that. And I wouldn't have even checked the Dannon label (b/c I had known before it was not legal), if the Lite 85 wouldn't have been out of stock. I'm so glad I did!

The serving size of the yogurts is 6 oz., so this would still be okay to have once per day, right? I'm not understanding what the bad news is?

Well, they have raised it from a strict 4 ounces to 4 to 6 ounces.

I only eat these once per day in the morning. I really do love them, though. I did find that the Dannon Blackberry or Boysenberry had a very strange taste to it--almost like a blue cheese aftertaste. Ick! I think I will just pick my favorites from both the Dannon and Blue Bunny. I have found the Blue Bunny Key Lime Pie to be wonderful. Thanks Cathy!
