One last question(maybe). What about Altern artificial sweetner? I got some at walmart today but I think it may just be generic brand splenda. It has a wierd consistancy that I'm not sure that I like but I could get used to it. Does anyone know anything about it? I prefer xylitol for my occasional artificial sweetner needs but there are no health food stores near me so it's hard to keep in the house.

Yes, I used to have a lot of goat's milk products since they didn't bother me like the cow's milk, but now the regular yogurt doesn't affect me so I just have it. And yes, the sucanat with honey is great in tea. Both of those honeys I mentioned also would be good in tea. I use either depending on they type of tea I'm having. I'm a tea junkie and get the loose leaf kinds and some go well with the flavor of honey and some just don't. THe sucanat with honey does not have a honey flavor to it at all, so it is much more like white table sugar, so I use it with the flavors of tea that I don't want the honey flavor in. My favorite use for the sage and tupelo honey, by the way, is homeade granola. I use freshly cut oats and mix 4 cups with half a cup of honey and a third cup of canola oil and then bake until golden brown and cool. I figured out that there is only like 1 tablespoon full of honey at the most in one serving of the granola and I eat it as a cereal cold. Usually that and maybe a little in tea is all the sweetener I have in a day, so I don't feel guilty at all. I use the honey in all the baking I can, but some things don't work with honey, like cookies or brownies etc, so that is when I use the sucanats.
