I have a conference to go to! HELP!!!

I have a conference to go to beginning this Tuesday (5-16) thru Saturday (5-20). I am very nervous b/c there are not going to be very many South Beach options at all b/c the meals are all served and pre-planned. I'm trying to be realistic here, and I don't think there is going to be any way that I will be able to stay on the SBD for those 4-5 days. So I'm wondering how to best minimize this? I plan to walk at night whenever possible. When I get back home do I just resume phase 2? Or do I do a few days on phase 1 to try to erase any cravings or gain?
I have been so diligent about doing everything right, that this is really bumming me out, but it's really nothing I can control.

I have had to deal with this and you just have to do the best you can. Usually a meal can be made close to SBD-friendly. I have taken the insides out of sandwiches, avoided rolls and potatoes served with entrees, etc. I would just try to do your best and see if you have cravings when you return. If you do, maybe a day or two of Phase 1 is needed, but you may not.

When I have conference dinners I either ask for a veggie plate (which will often include rice but sometimes spaghetti squash) or I ask for double veggies/no grains. Sometimes they can accomodate you.
Sometimes lunches are buffet style build your own sandwhich which is nice. Of course the cheese isn't generally lowfat. But I either make an open face sandwhich or just skip the bread alltogether.
If it is box lunches (at my weeklong conferences at least one lunch is served box style in the exhibit hall) I can eat the meat from within the sandwhich and give my cookie to someone else.
I always keep packages of nuts in my bag to snack on to keep me level. The biggest problem is getting veggies in. So on breaks I'll go have a (all be it expensive) salad at a nearby hotel.
For breakfast there is usually a choice of scrambled eggs and some tomato slices or at least a tomato juice.
good luck!!

(p.s. I think you'll do ok and won't have to go back to Phase 1 at all. Not generally recommended anyways.)
Thanks for your ideas and advice! My company is putting on the conference, so unfortunately I already know that there aren't going to be many SB friendly options. I will just have to do the best I can under the circumstances and move on. Thanks again!
