I haven't posted in a couple of days and this board seems to keep me going. If I don't post, I tend to get lax and I won't let that happen. So I'm here!
I start the 2nd week of phase 2 on Thurs. I cheated a little bit on Mother's Day, but not too badly. I had a little bit of pasta and a little bit of ice cream with nuts and coconut. Yummy!! But more than that I was not allowing and I went right back to completely SB yesterday and I feel fine. I went to the gym yesterday and will go tomorrow. My membership expires this Sat. I'm going to see if they will do one more month for me. They probably will. I hope so anyway. I hate to have to stop going and then move and have to find a new one. That could send my exercise way off track. Not good, so I'm trying to avoid that.
I'm not losing much and it does get to me, but I'm trying really hard to not let it discourage me. So far I'm ok. My scale is horrible so I can't really go by it. Seems I've lost about 6 pounds. Hard to tell, but if that's right I'll take it. I'm moving in a month so I spent the whole day today packing. My mother was over helping. When I have days like this I tend to get so involved that I don't eat. Bad habit. I have to really work on that. I'm having trouble getting my veggies in. I'm so sick of having to prepare and cook everything so much. I need to make a big batch of stuff, veggies included. I have a huge package of pork chops that I'll do something with tomorrow. I'm also having trouble with having to go shopping every few days for veggies and meat and other stuff that goes fast.
The board has been slower than usual. I hope everyone is doing well!

Hi Liz:
Sounds like you did well on Sunday. The weight loss will show itself soon. I've been lurking a lot more since Mother's Day - with my tail between my legs ;-( I totally blew it. I am so disappointed in myself. The day started out well enough. I was in charge of making a sandwich platter for our Mother's Day get-together and I made some very healthy sandwiches on SB approved breads.
THEN, DH took me out to dinner and I ran smack into my Kryptonite - - west indian cuisine. I ate like I have never eaten, ever and had four vodka with seltzers! The scale showed me who was boss yesterday. I'm firmly back in P2 but I feel like the next Kryptonite moment is just around the corner. I have to learn to control myself more. It's hard but I can't afford to quit.
Just had to come clean to someone.
Thx.

Don't quit Yvette.
Thanks for the pep talk, Liz. My DH isn't following this diet with me so he can't possibly understand how much this commitment means to me. And I don't know anyone outside of this board who is on SB, either. I do feel alone on the beach when I am not posting so I guess I better get my fingers limber to do some serious posting!
I am going to lean on the strength of our SB community :-) You are right, of course. I won't quit because I can't quit. My health really depends on making these healthy changes. I believe it is Cathy who says 'if I do not quit, I can not fail'.
Thanks again.
