I have been lurking for months and after reading all the informative postings I decided to take the plunge and try South Beach. I had been eating pretty healthy over the last fews years so the first two weeks weren't too bad. I just had to relearn what was not that good for you and what is better. I am really enjoying eating the South Beach way.

The question I have is why did I gain back 2 lbs. overnight. I started Phase 2 on Tuesday and was doing well until last night. I'll put down my meals from yesterday and maybe someone could fine tune it for me so I know if I'm on the right track.

Breakfast was a veggie sausage, veggie juice and black decaf. coffee

Snack was roasted unsalted soy nuts

Lunch was 3 turkey rollups with pesto

Snack was plain strawberries and a cheese stick

Dinner was veggie chicken (breading removed) and curried spinach with onions.

Dessert was cocoa ricotta cream and later I was still hungry and had ff plain yogurt with splenda.

Am I missing something here? I've pretty much been eating like this for weeks except for the fruit.

I would love some suggestions and I really want to loose 15 more lbs. and was doing so well.

Thank you for responding so fast. The information you posted did help. It's just so hard when you feel like you are losing and want to peek to confirm. So I guess the next step is to own up.

Hi my name is Judy and I have a scale obsession.

Today I will move the scales into my husband's bathroom and only look on Friday's like I used to.

Since you didn't mention anything about my food....I guess it's ok? I do usually have a spinach, tomato and fat free cheese salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for lunch. Didn't have time yesterday to make it, but I did today.

Hi Cathy.

I had one piece of Ezekiel sprouted bread on Tues., but didn't yesterday. Maybe I should've left the breading on the chicken patty? Anyway,I see that I need to work on that.

Oh yes...I forgot I can eat my brown rice that I've missed. And I love and have sweet potatoes. Gotta' start rethinking Phase 2. I might not have been hungry if I had eaten one of those too with my dinner.
