Sante Fe Tortilla Company now makes South Beach Diet Multi-Grain Wraps. I found these at Costco. One package ($3.99) includes two 10-tortilla packs. Quite a bargain!

Ingredients are listed: 100% whole grain wheat flour, water, oat fiber, whole grain oat flour, whole grain spelt flour, whole grain buckwheat flour, whole grain rye flour, whole grain barley flour......

One tortilla is 2 oz. and contains 8 grams of fiber. The package says that one serving size is one whole tortilla. But, for South Beach Diet, we would consider 1/2 of a tortilla (4 grams of fiber) as one grain serving.

Enjoy!

How is something with a "filler" (oat fiber) listed in the first three ingredients SBD friendly? I mean, it seems like similar products have been dissed in recent days.

Here's the official word on these:

Yes, you may have these tortillas as they meet the guidelines. They are made primarily of whole wheat flour and 3 grams of more of fiber per serving.

Enjoy!
