I have followed the guidelines for sugar and fiber in my morning cereal and like Uncle Sams (wow it's expensive!)
I have also found Go Lean instant oatmeal (even though it's instant, it only has 6 grams of sugar and is high in fiber) -that's pretty good...
I am on week one of Phase 2 and start every morning with cereal, and, have added one fruit in per day, which I intend to stick with this first week.
Next week, I'll add in another grain - looking at the bread guidelines, I see that it must contain 3grams of fiber per one ounce serving, which I assume is one slice.
We are allowed a maximum of 3 starches per day, right? So, if I have cereal in the morning, and, two slices of bread with lunch, that's my limit for the day and no pasta for dinner- does that sound right, because then, it would be going over the limit per the guidelines??
Just want to do this right!!
(Oh by the way, found that the Chocolate Sugar Free instant pudding is really good in the nonfat yogurt instead of the cheesecake pudding- thanks for the tip cl-desertmom!!

Just note that sometimes a slice of bread is over an ounce.
