I had a slice of toast with breakfast this morning, but now that I doublechecked the guidelines I'm not sure about it. A slice of this bread is 45 grams and the guidelines say 30. A slice has 4 grams of fiber and otherwise seems to be within the guidelines. I was soooo excited to eat that toast on my first day of P2. Do I really have to cut 1/3 of the slice off? Can anyone suggest a bread that I can eat a whole slice of? :(

Technically it would count at 1.5 grain servings - honestly I was never that nit picky with my "counting". Especially since you are just having 1 slice per day right now. Honestly I don't see much difference between 1 or 1.5 servings - and that attitude never cause me a problem.

So I bascially - I wouldn't worry about it and just count that as your grain for the day. Once you are adding more servings total for the day (getting up to 2 and 3) you may want to be more careful about counting those half servings.
