Clif bars has a new line of bars called Nectar which i absolutly love. It's made from dates and nuts. I know dried dates are a no-no but I don't think these bars are made from dried dates.

Here is the nutritional info (very high in fiber!)

and the chocolate one:

Are these okay for Phase 2?

Sorry. Dates in any form are not allowed (not sure if you can get them "fresh" anyway). They naturally have a high glycemic index.

After you reach your goal, in my mind these would be a good choice if you are an athelete since it has so many carbs and the sugar source is the dates. However, that would only be if you are an athelete at need the carbs for your workout (high intensity over a hour or so). Otherwise, I think that they would just make you want more sugar!

Good luck,

Lisa.
