I thought Phase 2 was for two weeks. Is it three or longer?

Then how long is Phase 3? Is Phase 3 the final phase?

I haven't bought the book yet and am going by this board.

Phase 2 is the weight loss phase. You stay on it until you reach your goal. So, the first three weeks are when you re-introduce fruits and grains and then you continue on each day with 3 fruits and 3 grains. This is a woe. In phase 3, you continue on the same way, but will have the flexibility to treat once in a while.

Here is a really good explanation of the phases:

Thank you for the clarification. So, I'll be on Phase 2 for a while then.

What did you mean by "This is a woe."? Three fruits and grains doesn't sound bad to me.

"So, the first three weeks are when you re-introduce fruits and grains and then you continue on each day with 3 fruits and 3 grains. This is a woe."

Is it actually three fruits a day AND three grains a day? Or a combination three times a day?

WOE means "way of eating".

Hi ... thanks again! Now I understand the lingo. :)

I printed out the food list. I'm good to go.

Any idea why corn-on-the-cob isn't allowed? It can't be that much sweeter than cantalope or something along those lines.

It's one of my faves.

Corn on the cob is high on the glycemic index because of its starch content not because of the sugar.

Is it allowed in the maintenance phase (Phase 3)?

Can I have it as an occasional treat?
