WEight Loss Stall

I am in the 6th or 7th week of Phase 2. It seems like my weight loss has stalled. I am eating my whole grains, fruits, proteins, veggies, and dairy. I am also doing aerobics three times a week. What could be the problem? Could I be eating too much? If I eat more than the daily allowance of whole grains or not enough vegetables, could this stall?

Yes, that could be a problem. Keep your grains to 3 servings/day, and make sure 1 serving = 1 ounce. Definately make sure you get all your veggies - it's really important. I know that the CL's always tell people who are stalling to make sure to get in your veggies. Also make sure you're drinking enough water - it makes a huge difference. Are you eating a lot of nuts, peanut butter, or cheese? Are you eating a lot of oils (because although healthy oils are healthy and necessary, they're high in calories so if you're not measuring and then eating too much olive oil or something, that can be problematic). If you could post a menu, that would help a lot. Sometimes people think they're eating too much when really they aren't eating enough. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but eating more really can help break you out of a stall. However, you should post a typical day's food and we'll be able to give you more insight into whether you're eating too much/not enough/or what else could be wrong. Understand that stalls are inevitable and everyone feels their weight loss slow. Stick with it and you'll start losing again, I promise!

Cassie's advice is right on!!

Make sure you are getting all your veggie and dairy servings, that you eat when you are hungry, and you drink lots of water. It may also be a good time to step up your exercise.
