I would like to introduce myself. I am currently on Day 13 of P2. I am beginning to see results in the way my clothes are fitting and from my family's responses. The scale and I don't get along so I can't say in "pounds" how much I have lost. But I do know I feel better. Previously I was trying to "somersize" and had little success. I decided to take a step of faith and switch to the SBD woe not just for weightloss but for the health benefits it makes. I would like to share this recipie which I have adjusted from full fat to what I hope is SBD friendly. Please let me know your thoughts.
Pizza Crust
8oz. Can Kraft Reduced Fat Parmesan Style Grated Topping.
( Found next to the full fat version)
1T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Egg Beaters or other Brand Egg Sub to equal 3 eggs.
2T. Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.
Italian seasonings to your taste.
Garlic Powder to your taste.
Preheat oven to 450. Combine all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl
The consistency will be like that of cornmeal mush.
Spread mixture thinly and evenly in a nonstick pizza pan or
cookie sheet.(You may want to spray your fingers with cooking
spray to assist in the spreading). If not using a nonstick pan,
spray your pan with olive oil cooking spray.
Bake crust for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Top with desired toppings, ******HOWEVER***** put mozzarella
cheese or choice of cheese on FIRST, than your additional
toppings, then sauce last to prevent crust from becoming soggy.
Turn heat down to 400 and bake just until cheese is melted.
Serve hot with a garden salad and enjoy!

Hi,
You're almost ready to move into phase 2.
It sounds yummy!
If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they have fresh wheat pizza dough, usually in with the salads and fresh prepared foods. I haven't looked at it lately to see the ingredients, but it might be SBD friendly as well. It's just a ball of dough, ready to roll out and use. I used to freeze them and thaw when needed.

I've been waiting until I move into phase 2 for pizza again....now I don't have to!! This sounds good-I can't wait to try it. How big of a pizza pan, though? And about how many servings?? Thanks for the recipe!!
Jen
Here's another mock pizza crust made with zucchini.
Cathy, can I assume your zucchini crust should use whole wheat flour? Recipe doesn't specify.
Thanks,
Mags
You are welcome and you are right. It is yummy!. Sorry I don't have the exact measurement for the pan I use.(It was not printed on the back side as some are). I would say it is a medium sized pizza pan and I cut it into eight equal slices. Although you could slice it even smaller and get even more. Now that the recipe got the green light for being SBD friendly ALL PHASES can have their pizza and eat it too! I really hope you will like it.

Thanks for responding!. I am very familiar with Trader Joe's. I have seen the pizza dough you are referring to but have never tried it. Let us know what you find out about it.
