Can you have sugar/caffeine free pop?

We just start Phase 1 for the first time this morning and I was wondering if sugar free water additives and sugar free pop were legal in Phase 1. I know that we are just supposed to stay away from milk, alcohol....anything else I am missing?

Thanks everyone!

Nonfat and 1% milk are now part of the plan even in Phase 1 based on the new guidelines.
You should check out the updated information link.

As for SF/caffeine free soda, overall it is not the best choice but you can drink it. The CL's can tell you if there is a limit. I find that it bloats me due to the salt. Crystal light is widely praised around here - you can give that a shot.

Good luck,

Lisa.

Diet Hansen's Soda (I get mine at Trader Joe's) contains NO sodium, sugar, carbs or caffeine. It's very tastey - made with splenda, and there's not a diety aftertaste. I have to stay away from salt because of blood pressure issues, so this is a great option for me. =)
