I would like to add to my bread, muffin and any other baked goods recipies : oat bran and/or flaxseed for additional fiber and taste, but A.....Are these additions considered additional grain servings outside of the ww flour used in the recipe and B.....if so how do I figure out the measurements correctly to add another grian serving. I guess I should have paid better attention in math class! Thank you for helping.

I add ground flax seed to the majority of my baked goods. For a recipe of bread that makes 2 loaves, I generally add a half cup of ground flax. I have a little coffee grinder I grind it with. The amount you end up with per serving is pretty small though, like maybe a teaspoon or so I guess, so I don't think you would have to increase any servings amounts to account for it. If you think about it, as long as your serving size of the end result remains the same weight, then you don't have to count is as more servings, regarless of what grain or nut you add.

Thank you for your info. I do have a question that your answer poses: Today I bought my first box of Uncle Sam Cereal.(Have not tried it yet), It is Toasted Whole Wheat Flakes & Flaxseed with 10g of Fiber. Since you said I should count the addition of flaxseed as a nut serving is the same true for the cereal? The P2 list of foods lists cold cereal as 3/4 cup for 1 serving. The box of Uncle Sam indicates: Serving Size 3/4 cup = 55g. I think I'm confused.

A South Beach grain serving is always one ounce.
