Hello Ladies! I'm baaaaaack! I was here 3 months ago, having had a 2nd baby. I was 6 weeks post-partum back then. When I started Phase2 I noticed that it had had a negative effect on the baby -he was cranky and irritable. I went off the diet. Now he's 3,5 months and I'm soooo ready to start losing weight. So this will be my 2nd try. I really hope it'll go better than the 1st time. Looking forward to losing weight and your support!

Oh, I probably should add that i need to lose, let's see about 20 lbs, ideally. Realistically, 16 lbs... From 134 to 118. After-thanksgiving is a good time to start (I live in Canada and we've just had our thanskgiving weekend).

Hi Susan, 3 lbs is better than nothing. Have you been posting your menus for a review here? I usually find that moderators and posters are terrific in pointing out if there's smth that could be corrected in the diet. Are you exercising as well? I'm trying to get to the gym at least twice per week, 3 in the best case of scenario. however, my weight has been the same since the delivery :(

Hi there! I'm also a nursing mom (typing one handed now ;) ) on SB. I have been on it for about 8 weeks and I've lost 13 pounds. I know that nursing definately works in my favor. My son is 2.5 months old and there have been no changes with him. He's growing and gaining great. I still have a ways to go so I'll be around if you need to chat or whatever. Good luck!

Suzanne, this is so unbelievable! I mean your weight loss! How much weight do you have to lose? Do you exercise a lot? Do you have a weight-loss diary I could peek in? What are/ were weight-loss your strategies? I'd love to hear more about your experience!

Hey there. I have 7.5 pounds to go till I reach my mini goal...I guess we'll call it that. My BIG goal is to lose 10 pounds after that. That would be lovely. I like having the little goal because I get overwhelmed when I think about having to lose 17 pounds. 7.5 doesn't seem so bad.

I don't exercise at all! Eek! I'm telling you the reason I'm able to pull this off like I have is from nursing. If I wasn't nursing right now I would have to exercise to lose like I am. Fortunately I will most likely be nursing for another 9 months or more so I'm taking life as it comes right now.

I have some journals from September and August in the archives if you want to look back. To be honest, I'm not super strict with my eating. I try and follow the guidelines and most of the time I do. But I had a soda this weekend (not diet) and I'm not going to freak out about it. I'm trying to learn how to eat South Beach and still live in the real world. I know that's the only way I'll be able to keep it off. Hope that answers some of your questions. If you're looking for REAL inspiration the community leaders here ROCK at this thing! Their daily menus put me to shame. Good luck!
