Adding starches and fruit.

I made it. I lost twelve pounds.

I am completely over whelmed again. I am confused with how to correctly add starches. I am ok with the fruit, I think. I have small apples and grapes as fruits this week. I am really struggling with the starches. If I add a slice whole wheat bread with my eggs and turkey bacon is that ok? Or if I have a boiled egg and ½ of slow cooked oatmeal that ok? I am just trying to get my meal plans set up. I just want to try adding starches this way first. I am really nervous about eating starches. Is this a good way to start?

You can add your starches in anyway you want! That's the great thing about it.

For me, I changed from eggs to oatmeal in the am and added a fruit as an afternoon snack. Lunch continued to be a salad and dinner was meat and a veggie. Later in Phase 2, I sometimes would add a sandwich on whole wheat bread for lunch. So, for me it was oatmeal for b'fast usually with dried fruit or banana, and 2 grain servings with lunch OR dinner (but not both). It was so easy to follow that way.

Good luck!
