I am getting ready to start P2 on Monday and am so ready to have something different for breakfast. I know you talk about steel cut oats, but I have Quaker 1 minute oatmeal on hand. Is this allowed? If not, where do I get the steel cut oats? I have never looked for them. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Sorry, but quick oats are not recommended.

Because I leave for work at 6am - I cook up my oats on sunday and dish out a portion for every day in pastic containers. This way I am good to go. I got the idea from Dr. Michael Roizin who wrote "RealAge" and "You on a Diet" with Mehmet Oz, MD.
They take great just microwave them.

Cooking a big batch of oatmeal on Sunday is a great idea.
