I've discovered a great new (to us) hot cereal that is wonderful on Phase II (or later) -- Hodgson Mills Multigrain with Flaxseed and Soy. It's whole grain, high fiber, low-fat, and contaings Omega-2 oils. (Plus, it's delicious -- it reminds of the Instant Ralston I used to eat when I was little.)

Serving: 1/3 cup dry

Ingredients: Oats, unprocessed wheat bran, milled flaxseed, soy grits, untoasted wheat germ, cracked whole wheat.

Enjoy!

We've been eating that one here for a long time and love it too! My favorite thing about it is how quick it cooks. I can't stand waiting an hour for oatmeal (yes, I know I can pre-soak and everything, but that takes planning WAY ahead, which I don't usually do) This only takes about 5 min total from the time you get the box out, so you can make it anytime!

The Thick and Rough oatmeal that we buy, which is as good or higher in fiber and as low or lower in sugar as the steel cut, only takes 8-10 minutes to cook, and no pre-soaking. ;)
