Is this popcorn legal for P2? I know the P2 list says plain microwave popcorn...but I thought I'd check:

Serving size 1 popped bag (27g)
3g fiber
1.5g fat

INGREDIENTS:
100% whole grain popping corn, palm oil, salt. (less that 2% of: butter, natural and artifical flavors)

TIA

Cathy,

I am still trying to get my mind around this one. How is corn not allowed until P3, but popped corn is OK on phase 2? What does the popping of the corn do to make it OK??Does it break up the naturally occurring sugars?

I'm still going to eat my popcorn, I just from a scientist point of view, NEED to understand the difference.

Thanks so much,
Ann

Hi, I was just wondering what brand of popcorn it is that your describing. I've been looking around for some brands that are legal. I would love to know what you found.

I found an Orville Redenbacher kind that sounds similar to what you have. I was just wondering.

TIA, Carla :)

The popcorn I was asking about is Orville Renednbacher's Smart Pop 100 Calorie Bags. They are even smaller than the Mini Bags, but each bag is 1 SBD Grain serving.

Cool! Thank you so much for your reply. It was the same one that I saw in the store.

Thanks, Carla :)
