I am making out my weekly meals and grocery list and just want to make sure about the Barilla PLUS pastas. I have it in stock already because it is the pasta I feed the boys (well, I would feed all of us in the pre-SB days)
Barilla PLUS pastas are a Enriched Multigrain Pasta. Yes, I see that word "enriched"...BUT, here are the rest of the stats...

Hi,
Here's what the official nutritionist says about Barilla Plus:
The pasta you mention is sold under the name Barilla Plus. Pasta made from whole grains has all of the fiber intact and semolina pasta (Barilla and Barilla Plus) is more refined. Barilla Plus is made from a blend of semolina (a refined flour) plus flax and chick pea flour, so it would not be the best choice for the SBD. During Phase 2, the very best choice for pasta is whole wheat pasta followed by soy pasta. Those made with durum semolina would follow. Therefore, this pasta may be used, it just isn't the very best choice. Pasta counts as a 'starch' and one starch serving is 1/2 cup-already cooked.
