Starving in Phase 2!

Well yesterday was D1 of P2. I was starving all day.

Instead of eggs in the morning, I had fibre1 cereal and added almonds. Obviously this wasn't enough.

Even with snacks, lunch, supper, snacks...I went to bed hungry and craving things like chips and or popcorn! I didn't give in, but then woke up today, so very hungry. I cooked eggs today and skipped the carb for now and will have them later in the day. I also think having an orange yesterday as my fruit made me more hungry too, somehow. Does that make sense?

Thoughts, ideas, help? : )

I like the idea of having a fibre cereal in the morning as I cannot take the metamucil and ...well...I'm sure you understand! ...but ...I cannot eat eggs AND cereal etc without exploding from being too full....but...the cereal doesn't keep me full at all...

ARe there any great snacking ideas for things that resemble chips? LOL ..and would I get enough of them to satisfy that need? For example, 3 crackers will be crunchy, but will just make me want more of them!

thanks again...looking forward to all of your great answers!

Will go and drink more water now and hope the hunger leaves soon

ps: I had no cravings on P1 at all!

I had similar problems when I moved to P2, but eventually I found something that works for me.

Most mornings I have a 1/2 c serving of FiberOne with 1/2 c skim milk and two or three strawberries, and a Morningstar sausage patty. That breakfast holds me as long as eggs do. I personally have to be very careful with fruit. I spread it out into smaller servings and am sure to eat protein with it every time.

The hard part about moving to P2 is that you have to really monitor yourself and figure a lot of it out for yourself, since we all react differently to different foods.

It has been a really long day, and I'm not sure this makes any sense at all! But the point is, be sure to have plenty carb competitors with your P2 foods, and monitor yourself carefully. You'll be fine, I promise!

Thanks so much! Perhaps I will try the cereal/pattie combo! NOt what I would normally think of, but then it's all about new choices, right?

Thanks for your help

I am now eating Fibre 1 cereal in the morning with a bit of turkey bacon on the side.

I have more energy throughout the day ANd I'm not starving!

Thanks for all your help and ideas!
