Nervous about calorie intake??

I am ending my 2nd week on phase 2. Getting in two grains and two fruits. Sometimes it feels like alot of eating. I went on fitday and added up a days worth of food. It came to 1438 calories!!! Isn't this too much to lose weight? I'm thinking that maybe 2 tbsp of natural pb at 210 calories is too much? And one cup of ff plain yogurt is 150 so the two together as a snack is a whopping 360 calories. This seems a little extreme. I don't have it everyday but I easily could. I know that half my metabolism problem comes from the days when I thought I had to eat 800-100 calories to lose weight and I am just nervous about eating too much to make this work. And next week brings another grain and fruit!! Words of wisdom please??

1,400 calories per day is a sensible amount of calories and I promise that you can still lose weight.

Well Cathy, I only lost 6.2 pounds in phase one and to tell you the truth I haven't weighed yet in phase two. I find that I stick to the plan better when I don't weigh all the time and I plan to weigh Saturday morning when I end the second week of P2. My logic behind this is that if I don't see any loss or (GASP) a gain then I am more likely to have a bad day....or two....or three. Thanks for answering so quickly to this and to my carb competitor question.
