hi! im getting ready to start pahse 2 in just a couple of days  :)  what can i anticipate to happen in the weight loss field?  i know i have read that a few ladys gain when going from ph 1 to ph 2.  what is expected here? and then what is normal weight loss look like per week.  alos, why is it not a good idea to stay on phase 1 for a extra week or two just to kick off a few more pounds??  thanks so much! have a great day!

Congrats on almost finishing phase 1!! Phase 1 is designed to help you learn how to eat healthy, to detox from bad carbs and bad fats, and to eliminate cravings. Although it may be tempting to stay in phase 1 and it seems like a rapid weight loss phase, it's not. Phase 2 is the real weight loss phase where you will lose weight at a healthy rate (1 to 2 pounds per week). You will add fruits and healthy grains that your body needs for good nutrition. We all have experienced stalls, plateaus and even some small gains here and there, but over the long run following phase 2 you will lose weight - and keep it off!

Take a look at the Starting Phase 2 thread in the Phase 2 folder for information on how to get started and let us know if you have any more questions.

Good luck and we're here when you need us!!

Hi,

Also, just wanted to add that most members who extend phase 1 for longer than 2 weeks don't see any additional weight come off in that third week.
