Ok, if I am to eat non-fat, sugar free vanilla yogert, this is for Phase II correct? What do I need to count it towards? dairy? sweet treats?
Thanks in advance! I'm sure I'll have a million more questions, but once I get the hang of it I'm sure it will get easier.

Hi Erin,
"Ok, if I am to eat non-fat, sugar free vanilla yogert, this is for Phase II correct? What do I need to count it towards? dairy? sweet treats?"
Plain, non-fat yogurt (1 cup) is allowed on all phases. Flavored yogurt is only allowed on p2 & only 4 oz of it. Yogurt counts towards dairy.
Unfortunately the breads your dh choose are not sbd friendly :(
Bread Guidelines -
Breads: Phase 2
When shopping for whole-grain breads, it's important to read between the lines on the labels. Terms like "natural whole-grain goodness," "whole wheat" (as opposed to "100% whole wheat"), "enriched wheat flour," and "unbleached flour" may mean that the bread is actually made with refined flour, which is high on the glycemic index. Make sure to look for labels that list "100% whole wheat" as the first ingredient and carry a high fiber content (at least 3 grams per ounce).
Avoid high fructose corn syrup and trans-fats. Check labels closely and always choose according to the guidelines.
The Pepperidge Farms Natural breads are an excellent choice and do not contain high fructose corn syrup.
And, the waffles he choose are not friendly either, sorry :(
They begin with the word "enriched" & right off the bat, thats a no go.
Here's a link with a wealth of info. Definately worth reading over & over again:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Good luck!

A serving size of grains is one ounce.
Doreen - I'm glad you can find breads that don't have HFCS in them that meet the other guidelines.
Kimmie,
I'm blushing to admit right now sits a loaf of Arnolds 100% WW bread on my counter! I often do struggle with finding a bread that meets *all* the requirement & usually end up settling for the lesser of the evils. This arnolds has 3g fiber for 1 slice (38g) which seems to be as close as I can get these days. It does however have HFCS as #3 ingredient :(
Its been awhile since I've found a bread 100% sbd friendly. I basically settle for 2g fiber & no HFCS as a general rule (despite the bread on my counter at this moment). Manufactures make it so darn hard for us!

Hi Erin,
Here's the lowdown on yogurt:
The best choice for yogurt is non fat plain yogurt.
Van's Gourmet Waffles also meet the requirements (100% whole wheat, 5g of fiber).
Actually, your little one might like the Eggos while teething.
