Baking Powder?

Hey everyone, I've been lurking around for a while now and I have started my south beach lifestyle around a month ago.

So far it's been going well but I have a couple of questions.

Is using 'baking powder' legal?

How about the use of corn flour?

I'm trying to experiment in the kitchen (it usually involves some sort of sauce or maybe trying some sort of brownie recipe which calls for some flour ingredient or flour like ingredient to make the dough or make the sauce STICK if you know what I mean) and it's generally hard finding the particular groceries you guys use in my country so I'm trying to make use of what's more popular and convenient but I'm unsure whether it's allowed.

I'd appreciate any info, thanks in advance :)

Hi & welcome!

You may use baking powder in recipes in all phases.

Thank you very much :)

I do have one more question : we sometimes use Semolina in our kitchen, can that be occasionally used in the SBD without breaking the rules?

Here's the official response regarding semolina:

Semolina is durum wheat that is more coarsely ground than normal wheat flours, a result that is often obtained by sifting out the finer flour. If you would like to have semolina, 3 tablespoons is a serving. This would be considered a grain/starch serving.
