I left my restaurant guide at home & I won't be able to go back to get it before dining at Pei Wei tonight. Can someone tell me what it says about the Pei Wei Mongolian, please?

Hi - here's a link to the Dining Guide:
http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-fbsouthbeach&msg=14498.1

But Pei Wei is not in it. I know that the guide always seems to favor restaurants on the east coast/southeast and Pei Wei is more of a southwestern thing - location wise, not food obviously LOL! They are quite popular here but I have never eaten there. I did a quick look at their menu - obviously the rice and noodle bowls are out. Their lettuce wraps have a lot of sugar. Their Asian Chopped Chicken Salad is the only thing I see that looks okay as the sugar is low in the dressing - but its high in the Spicy Chicken Salad so that one wouldn't be a good choice.

Some of their "Signature Dishes" may be okay because you can chose to have them with brown rice - but most are pretty high in sugar. The two LOWEST are the Mongolian and the Pei Wei Spicy w/8g sugar. Most of others are well above 11g sugar per serving (and the Orange Peel has 33g!). Now a small amount could be coming from the veggies, so I think I'd feel okay with the 8g sugar and the brown rice being on phase 3 or a very well established phase 2 for an occasional thing. I don't think I'd risk it if I was at all prone to cravings though.

In the actual dining out BOOK Pei Wei is in there, but I left it at home accidentally. So I was hoping someone who had one close at hand could fill me in. I know several items on their menu can be SB friendly.

Oh - and I just noticed a Soba Miso Bowl made with your choice of meat (chicken, tofu or shrimp would be the best choices), veggies and buckwheat noodles with only 5g sugar total per serving.

Hmmm...that sounds yummy, especially with shrimp & maybe a side of edamame.
