So, am I stuck at this weight?

Well, this is day 11 of phase 2 and I have not lost a pound. I did not have much to lose when I started, 20 pounds. I lost 10 in phase one and am looking to lose 10 more in phase 2 but, I haven't lost any since transitioning into phase 2.
I have come to enjoy the foods that I am "allowed". I save my "cheat" for beer, on the weekend I will have a couple of beers. On phase 2 I almost find it hard to eat all of the food. I am perfectly satisfied with the phase 1 way of eating. It almost seems like I am eating just because I need to get my 2 servings of fruit and grain. So, I have decided to stop doing that. If I'm not hungry I'm not going to eat. My reintroductions have been a small bowl of Fiber One Honey Clusters at breakfast (sometimes with a sausage patty) and a banana for either a snack or with lunch. I am also trying to have an apple somewhere in the day and maybe a piece of bread or a tiny serving of ww pasta, to get my 2 fruit and 2 grain. So, is there anything wrong with any of that?
Also, I have been running 3 days a week. Well, usually running 2 days and walking 1. The scale has not moved in some time and I am really discouraged. I don't want to "get off the beach". I think it a nutritious way to eat and live and I don't want to stop but, I do want the darn scale to budge a little. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

So you lost 10 pounds in 14 days and now your 11 days into phase 2. That's 10 pounds in less than one month -
Good morning!
Hi Kimmie. I measured it once and after that I just eyeball it. It's like a half a cup or a little more. Not much...not a full cup for sure. So, I just don't understand why I can't lose more. I can skip snacks if I don't feel hungry right? Sometimes I feel like I'm eating just to get my 2 fruit and grain servings.
I don't have a gym membership so strength training for me would be sit ups and push ups and whatever I can do around the house.
Thanks for your help!
Hi again. Yes, your foods are fine. Although it is okay to skip snacks in phase 2 if you are not hungry, it IS important that you eat regularly throughout the day (to keep insulin levels stable) and to eat all the required foods each day. It CAN be challenging.
Here is some information I thought you might find useful:

And from a SBD Nutritionist:
Member Question: I just completed my first week on Phase 2 and didn't lose anything, even though I followed it to a tee! I was exercising, eating all the right things, and drinking my water. I lost 6 pounds in Phase 1 — HELP!
Maureen: Please keep in mind weight loss does not happen at a consistent rate. It is not uncommon to have weight loss one week and none the next — or even to gain. The key is to have an overall downward trend. This is very common the first couple of weeks in Phase 2. Try to be patient and allow for some more time. Usually, you will continue to lose weight. In the meantime, pay close attention to the amount of cheese, protein, and nuts you have. We often see members overdo it on these foods and experience a weight stall.
Losing 10 lbs in Phase 1 in unbelievable. Congratulations!!!!! Usually with only around 20 lbs to lose you do not lose that much weight in Phase 1. So your body is now catching up with the quick weight loss and it will eventually start losing again but you need to allow it to make adjustments. Dr. A. has written about this in the book so you should be able to look this up.
Best regards
Linda
A few things...
#1 - You lost 50% of your weight to lose in phase 1. That is amazing! I only lost 12% of my total I had to lose in phase 1. So you lost a lot VERY quickly. Weight loss does not happen in a predictable, steady way. Most of the time when we have a big "whoosh" of weight come off - it takes our bodies awhile to catch up. My typical pattern was if I had a week with a "big" loss (which I considered to be 2 or 3 lbs in one week) then my body would "recover" and I would have 1-2 weeks with no loss. The another week with a 2lbs loss, then nothing, etc.
#2 - The last 10lbs are THE toughest for most people. We've had members who lost the 10lbs at a turtle pace -but it DID come off when they stuck with it. I believe this was the case for Cathy and another past member Kim. I know Kim was stalled with those last 10lbs for months, then the scale finally did move.
#3 - make sure you don't cut out/skimp on the fruits and grains. The ONLY time I truly stalled was when I failed to up my grains and fruits to 3 servings each. I falsely thought "the less fruits/grains = quicker the weight loss" I was SO SO wrong.
#4 - definitely add strength training. Cardio is good - but strength training is key, especially for those last 10lbs.
Good luck!

No gym membership = no problem.
Hi everyone!
I still have a little over a week left in Phase 1, so I'm not in Phase 2 yet, but I do have a question. In the SBD book I have, it says when transitioning to P2 to start by adding just one fruit or grain per day at time...it sounds like you are suggesting 2 to 3 servings of each right away. Has this suggestion changed?
Thanks!
